Everyday Anomalies are fleeting confusing moments taking place in the middle of the most familiar daily life. This website contains the materials produced during the Doctor of Art project of the visual artist Oona Tikkaoja. The research was carried out during the years 2010-2021 in Aalto University and the University of California San Diego. The dissertation can be found here.
Here you can browse the collection of the Everyday Anomaly Archive for inspiration, and submit your own anomalous experience to the collection. There is also a selection of tinkering tools for designing your own anomalies.
