I was on a work-related trip from Finland to Kenya. I had to change plane in Amsterdam, where I normally went through the security check, walked to the plane, found my seat, fastened the seatbelt and waited for the takeoff. At that time, there had currently been the 10 years memorial day of the World Trade Center attacks in New York. Suddenly, a bunch of security men rushed in the plane, looking for me. When the security personnel came, I had a peculiar feeling like I was observing myself from the outside, with the eyes of all the other passengers who would now take me as a suspicious person. Soon I found out that for some reason I had managed to get into the plane without registering my ticket. This reason, naturally, was not heard by the other passengers so my status stayed ambiguous for the rest of the flight.
