Camouflage 1: Foreign to Familiar

I was a student of 3D modelling in a Finnish University and was learning to use a software called 3D Studio Max over eight hours per day. I had not been studying a lot in English before this degree program. All the instruction manuals of the software were in English. So, suddenly I was using English as my main working language, because I had to refer the manual quite often as a learning aid. One day, after a long working period, I remarked happily, that they have translated the instruction manual in Finnish. After a while I noticed that the language has all the time been English, I just had got so well adjusted to the language which was not previously present in my everyday that it felt for a moment as familiar as my mother tongue.
