When I was young I had worked as a waitress in England. When working, we had to use white dress shirts which we had to buy by ourselves. In my home country Finland white shirts are not so often used by waiters, but more by people who want to give fancy impression. Once I went to a casual restaurant in Finland, and saw there someone wearing a white dress shirt. I asked him, if they serve take-away food. He was not a waiter but a customer and was offended of my question.
