Unknown Colleague

I was working in a University of Applied Sciences which had campuses in different locations around Finland. I was a new lecturer so I did not yet know many of my colleagues working in the other campuses. I had heard that there were some people who lived in my town but had their post in another campus where they traveled frequently. Once we were traveling with my colleagues by train to a conference where all the personnel from around Finland would come. We met at the station and waited for the train to arrive. Suddenly a large man approached me and said: “Do you have a ticket for me also?” I did not know this man who came in so confidently. I thought he was just making joke of us, and answered him something on quite a cold tone. Then somebody understood that he was our colleague from another campus who was living in our home town, and for that reason joined us at the station.
